Filmatic for iPhone
Privacy Policy
Filmatic does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. There are no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Everything the app creates stays on your iPhone.
Last updated August 11, 2026.
What we collect
Nothing. Filmatic makes no network requests of its own. It has no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier and no third-party code of any kind — it is built entirely on Apple's own frameworks.
What stays on your device
- Camera. The light meter and the negative preview read the camera feed to measure light and invert an image. Frames are processed in memory on the device and are never uploaded or stored unless you save one yourself.
- Photos. Filmatic writes to your photo library only when you tap save, and reads only the images you pick. It does not scan or index your library.
- Rolls and settings. Rolls, frames, notes, development recipes and per-film adjustments are stored locally. If you have iCloud backup turned on they are included in your own encrypted Apple backup — that is between you and Apple; we never see it.
Purchases
Filmatic Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. Payment details never pass through the app, and we receive no personally identifiable information from a purchase. Restoring asks Apple whether your Apple Account owns the product; the app stores only a yes-or-no answer, on your device.
Children
Filmatic is not directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date above, and material changes are noted in the app's release notes.
